The curriculum of the lifelong learning course is focused on the implementation of sustainability principles in
industrial practice. The European Union is currently introducing requirements for non-financial reporting by
organisations. In the coming years, industrial enterprises will be required to implement non-financial reporting
within their operations, including the summarisation of information related to sustainability indicators. The
development of this newly conceived reporting framework will necessitate the practical implementation of various
measures across environmental, social, and governance areas.
The content of the lifelong learning course
includes training participants to engage in the participatory integration of individual Sustainable Development Goals
(SDGs) into the internal policies of organisations.
This lifelong learning course will enable professionals from the
application sphere to acquire the competencies required for roles such as Sustainability Manager or Sustainability
Consultant. The enhancement of skills will focus particularly on preparing and developing corporate sustainability
strategies, planning activities aimed at fulfilling these strategies, evaluating the environmental, social, and
economic impacts of corporate activities, and preparing a sustainability report.
The newly developed course builds
on the existing theoretically oriented lifelong learning course Sustainability Management, which has been taught at
the University of Chemistry and Technology Prague (UCT Prague) for the past five years.
