Biotechnological processes are increasingly involved in the creation, protection and use of environment. The course focuses on the latest knowledge related to these processes. In particular, it is the application of molecular biological techniques in the development of technological biological agents and monitoring of ecosystem. The study of the bioremediation process involves interactions of contaminating compounds in the ecosystem, their metabolism, degradation kinetics, engineering solution of processes and design of appropriate mathematical models.

Student will be able to:

choose the correct experimental approach for obtaining the requisite data for the implementation of bioremediation process

on the basis of experimental data suggest / improve biotechnological process for the recovery environment

assess the benefits and risks of existing or planned bioremediation processes
