The lectures are focused on description of physical-chemical aspects of biological systems and use of physical-chemical terms to describe and solve the problems in biological systems. Students will have an overview of the most important concepts and methodology of modern biophysical chemistry as well as structural methods for description of biomacromolecules.
Aim of the course -
Last update: Holík Purkrtová Zita Ing. Ph.D. (19.10.2015)

Students will be able to:

Describe basic biochemical processes by mathematical methods used in physical chemistry.

Apply the principles of physical chemistry in interpretation and solving problems occuring in biological systems. The problems solution includes numerical analysis of chosen physical chemistry parameters.

Independently propose a method and design a protocol for experimental determination of chosen physical chemistry parameters in biological systems and analyse obtained data.
