Students will be able to: Select an appropriate technique of vibrational spectroscopy according to properties of analysed system and required analytical information. Interpret spectra of both organic and inorganic substances using the information on molecular symmetry, point group character tables and other available reference data. Describe special methods of vibrational spectroscopy including time-resolved techniques, surface-enhanced phenomena, nonlinear effects and specific properties in nanoscale. |
