The aim of the subject is to give detailed information on metallic materials of technical importance. Information on important groups of steels, cast irons, as well as non-ferrous alloys, is given. Mechanical, physical and chemical properties of alloying systems are described. The application of equilibrium phase diagrams and relationships between structure and properties of metallic materials are emphasized.
