The aim of the subject is to acquire both theoretical and experimental knowledge of modern laboratory techniques. Among the performed experiments are cross-coupling reactions, photochemical reactions and other reactions that require handling of organometallic and hydride reagents, working under inert atmosphere using inert lines and septum techniques, working in a glovebox, working with a microwave reactor, working at low temperatures and with low-boiling liquids. The products obtained will be isolated by advanced separation techniques (vacuum distillation, crystallization and column chromatography) and their structure and purity will be determined by selected analytical methods (NMR spectroscopy, TLC, UV/VIS spectroscopy).
