Annotation -
This course follows after the course Petroleum Technology I. Students become acquinted with properties of individual petroleum products and their utilization as well as with the trends in their consumption. Further, attention is paid to the problematics of biofuels - their classification, properties, production technologies and use as transport fuels. Other alternative fossil fuels are discussed as well. Attention is paid also to the environmental aspects of petroleum processing. Finally, key refinery catalysts and their production are discussed as well.
