The course comprehensively addresses the issues of waste management in accordance with the principles of the waste management hierarchy and current legislation. Students will become familiar with waste production, its origins, typology, and development trends. The main emphasis is placed on a detailed characterization of technologies for waste treatment, processing, recovery, and disposal. For each technique and technology, the characteristics of the processes, material flows, technical equipment, and apparatus are systematically presented. The course also includes a critical analysis of the environmental, technical, and economic aspects of individual methods.
