Students will be able to: Define the structure of biotechnological process Undersand the bioprocesses from engineering perspective Describe the separation processes as a unit operation Describe the function and role separation processes in biotechnology Define the fundamental principles of separation processes Integrate the separation processes into biotechnology Select suitable separation process with regard to the requirements for quality and purity of the product Choose the sequence of separation processes, particularly in the isolation, purification and finishing of the product Optimize the separation processes in the up-stream and down-stream processing Clasify separation techniques in terms of efficiency and economy |
