Annotation -
Student is able to gain required knowledge for use of Balanced Scorecard methodology by strategy implementation in enterprises and in non-profit sector. Part of implementation forms adoption of organization´s performance indicators which are used by development planning and results evaluation in holistic attitude. Further student copes with analytic evaluation of gained information, use them in decisive-making processes and assign jobs for teams arranging for strategy implementation in organizations’ internal processes. Student applies gained knowledge by separate elaboration of an implementation project on the background of real enterprise.

Requirements to the exam -

Condition for winning the credit is separate project elaboration and its acceptation. The sense of the project is proving the right application of gained theoretical knowledge into practice. Student elaborates his project on the background of chosen real organization.

Description of the topic is "Business plan implementation based on the Balanced Scorecard methodology":

  • Formulation of strategic outcomes from the strategic plan;
  • Short-term setting and determination of profile strategies within the planning period;
  • Performance indicators transformation into partial Balanced Scorecard perspectives;
  • Link between performance management policy and organization´s processes;
  • Strategic actions deduction;
  • Strategy maps completing.

After refusal it is possible to carry out once a revision of the project.

The exam can be performed only after previous winning a credit. The exam is as combined, the first part forms written test consisting of 5 questions containing the theory of the subject gone through the lessons. Second part of the exam is oral discussion concerning the topics of Balanced Scorecard and its right application into practice.
