The subject puts emphasis on the fundamental physical-chemical principles involved in dressing of ores and metal-bearing wastes and in metallurgical reactions utilized for pyrometallurgical or hydrometallurgical production of metals. The practical applications of the individual processes are continuously demonstrated on the basic flowsheets of iron and steel production and non-ferrous metals production.
Aim of the course -
Last update: TAJ106 (13.08.2013)

Students will be able to:

utilize obtained knowledge in application of dressing, pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical processes on the treatment of ore and waste material.
