Students will obtain knowledge and experience in corrosion and corrosion protection, chemical processes in metals extraction and in basical processes of metals casting and heat treatment.

Students will be able to:

Evaluate the corrosion damage of metallic materials and asses the corrosion processes by electrochemical methods.

Describe the structure of materials on metallographic samples, to measure the thickness of the surface layer or coating and to propose suitable regime of heat treatment of metallic materials.

Realize basic metallurgy routes of metallic materials processing, processes of recycling from wastes.
