The aim of the course is to gain basic knowledge of the principles and procedures of surface treatment technology as the most frequently used methods of improving the utility properties of metallic materials. During the study there will be presented also basic methods of surface treatment used in the automotive industry.

define the basic properties of the surface of metallic materials,

describe the most common surface treatment technology,

describe the utility properties of the surface covered by metallic materials,

apply their knowledge for the automotive products.
