Annotation -
Students will learn about common analytical methods useful for materials. They will get knowledge of the analysis of mechanical properties, structure, chemical and phase composition. All methods will be discussed from the point of basic principles and also of practical applications.

Students will be able to:

describe Basic principles of analytical methods useful for various kinds of materials.

Describe and evaluate the outputs of different types of analyses.

Effectively choose the suitable analytical method.
