In this course, the integrated interpretation of the principles of heterogeneous, homogeneous, and enzyme catalyses is presented. Special attention is devoted to heterogenized catalysts. This bachelor course is a basis for the following master course in applied catalysis. The up-to-date character of the delivered information reflects the continuous and vivid development of the knowledge of catalysis.

A lot of supporting material is available for studying catalysis. Besides the recommended books on catalysis there is a plenty of information available under the key word "catalysis" in the electronic databases in the CIS (Central Information System) of the VSCHT. For applied catalysis, the most recommended is the "Ullmann's Encyclopedia of Industrial Chemistry". Last update: KOUBEKJ (16.08.2013)
