Annotation -

The subject "Construction of Pattern Drafts" aims at providing insight into the procedures underlying the creation of construction pattern grids and the elementary constructions of the individual types of garments, during which the shapes of various design elements are being drawn. Fashion silhouettes of specific historical periods arise from the modelling of elementary pattern drafts. Technical pattern drawings depict the individual parts of garments in a way that allows for their dimensions, shapes and additional features, such as warp and weft, to be read out easily. A complete technical drawing represents an important documentation material used for the renovation - conservation purposes.

Aim of the course -

Students will be able to:

• apply their knowledge of the elementary procedures of pattern draft creation to the main types of apparel

• identify the proper method of resolving a particular pattern draft option

• elaborate technical documentation and use professional terminology

Klasifikace probíhá na základě vyhotovení technických střihových výkresů, základních druhů oděvů a jejich modelace. Hodnotí se obsahová i formální úroveň zpracování a schopnost aplikovat osvojené poznatky.
