Engineering of the natural gas transmission and distribution pipelines. State behavior and transport properties of natural gas, flow in pipeline. Pressure control, Joule-Thomson phenomenon, gas heating before the pressure regulation. Pipeline system operation and corresponding cashflows. Additionally, the principles and utilization of underground storages, construction and rehabilitation of gas pipelines as well as the legal and safety background.
Aim of the course -
Last update: Koza Václav doc. Ing. CSc. (24.07.2013)

Students will be able: to calculate state behaviour of the natural gas and flow of gas in pipelines; to design the gas pressure regulation including gas preheating; to understand the financial flows in pipeline construction, gas transmission and distribution.
