The course is divided into two parts. The first one deals with the basic knowledge of drinking water supply. The focus is on the concept of water supply, water collection, its accumulation and transport, used materials and objects of water networks and basic rules for the design and construction of water distribution systems, their operation and maintenance. The second part of the course aims at the sewerage networks, including types of urban drainage systems, sewers and the influence of the sewage system on the wastewater treatment plant. The construction and purpose of the main sewerage objects are explained. Students are also familiar with organizational structure and legislation in this field.
