The main goal of this course is to explain the principles of toxicity testing for industrial purposes like hazardous waste characterisation. The student will be guided through the whole process of toxicity testing from sample collection, planning of experimental design to final data interpretation. Broad spectrum of toxicity tests is demonstrated.
Aim of the course -
Last update: Kočí Vladimír prof. Ing. Ph.D., MBA (20.08.2013)

Student will be able to interpret dose-response curve and other toxicity indexes like EC50, NOEC, LOEC etc. Students get knowledge of broad variety of toxicity tests at different trophic levels and biological organisation.
