The course focuses on understanding the principles of purification techniques for the isolation of biomolecules. The aim is to teach students how to design a proper procedure for the purification of biomolecules target and characterize it. This knowledge can be used in many fields.

Students will be able to: Understand the principles of membrane, chromatographic and electrophoretic techniques. Propose a procedure to optimize protein purification. They will know the basic techniques of immobilization of proteins and cells.
