The course introduces principles, experimental techniques and data interpretation of vibrational spectroscopy. Modern experimental techniques, spectral interpretation including practical examples are emphasized.
Aim of the course -
Last update: Kubová Petra Ing. (15.04.2015)

Students will be able to:

Explain principles of vibrational spectroscopy, to describe instrumentation used for infrared and Raman spectroscopy and microspectroscopy and the use of both spectroscopic techniques for analyses of samples in different states (gaseous, liquid and solid) considering both quantitative and structural informations.

Interpret infrared and Raman spectra of common organic compounds.
