Annotation -
The course introduces basic overview of methods used for structural analysis of pharmaceutical substances. It is focused on both spectral and diffractometric methods. The attention is dedicated to principles of methods, instrumentation, and especially interpretation of experimental data considering practical pharmaceutical applications.

Aim of the course -

Students will be able to:

Explain principles of spectrometric and diffractometric methods used for structural analysis.

Describe experimental techniques which are appropriate for structural analysis for various types of pharmaceutical formulations.

Interpret experimental data for simple organic compounds with possible applications in pharmacy.
