Annotation -
The students work in the groups of typically four members on the modified real industrial problems under the supervision of the staff members who were in the past in charge of solving these problems for the industrial partners. The co-supervision of the industrial representatives is often also involved. The course verifies the ability of the students to solve the problems on the basis of synthesis of all the knowledge aquired so far. The content of the projects varies from the conceptual design of whole technologies to the truoble-shooting of individual units. The equivalent course abroad is the "Design", and is comprehended as an important subject, counterpart of the diploma thesis, which verifies scientific abilities of the student.

Aim of the course -

Students will be able to:

  • analyze real industrial problem and to compoile concise problem statement
  • compile simulation model of the analysed process in the enviroment of the commercial simulation SW or to develop their own specific SW.
  • perform operational and technical assessment of the proposed solutions
  • present solution and elaborate a technical report
  • colaborate in the team and manage the project
