The course Technical Instrumentation for Control is a basic course of all master degree programmes aimed at informatics, process control and measurement. The concept of the course is practical. Therefore students can apply knowledge in the solution of engineering problems.

1. Introduction. Compendium of computer solutions in the control and measurements

2. Basic elements, natural and unified signals. Transform of physical quantity to electric or pneumatic signals and its processing

3. Data acquisition and signal conditioning. Operational amplifier, model, basic circuits, frequency characteristics, stability

4. Switch, multiplexer, comparator, isolation amplifier, filters, reference source

5. Sampling unit, digital-analog converters, analog-digital converters

6. Control circuits with operational amplifiers, analog regulator

7. Architecture of microcomputers. Digital regulator

8. Computers in industry. Architecture: processor, memory, motherboard. Fundamental software. Power source

9. Paralel and serial interface, buses, plug-in cards for data acquisition, USB, Fire Wire, IrDA

10. Field wiring and noise considerations for analog signals

11. Wired communication - Ethernet, fibre cable. Wireless communication - WiFI, Bluetooth

12. Wireless verification - camera, magnetic card, barcode, RFID

13. Trends in data archiving

14. Electric and pneumatic servomotors, valves
