Subject content depends on field of study. Students will learn and develop their craft skills on the conservation. *Conservation-restoration artcraft of metal objects: Technological knowledge production of metals and their craft processing are contained in the course. The course is focused on restoration of simple metal objects and on usage of craft techniques of metal processing (e.g. casting of missing parts according to the model, soldering, metalsmithing, gilding, silverplating, engraving and other techniques of metal processing). Individual works are supervised by restorer with a restoring licence.

Conservation-restoration artcraft of metal objects:

Metal casting

Heat forming, treatment and processing of metals

Cold forming and division of metals

Joining of metal materials

Coating of metals and their fixation

Processing of gemstones and other non-metal materials

Craft techniques of metal processing (metalsmithing, gilding, cladding, decoration with nielo, enamellining, inlay etc.)

Conservation-restoration artcraft of glass and ceramics:
Glass - heat techniques - treatment of glass over burner

Glass - cold techniques - cutting and engraving of glass

Glass - window glass - painted glass

Glass - complementary techniques - tiffany technique, stained glass

Ceramics - ceramic figure modeling

Hollow ceramic modeling

Mouldmaking - for replication purposes
