Annotation -
The subject focuses on improving and expanding language and communication skills in general English, interpretation of text and listening materials, presentation of students' opinions and their ability to reason. Topics include phones and technology, health and medicine, travel and tourism, animals, food, and sports. The aim is to achieve C1 level according to CERF (Common European Reference Framework).

Aim of the course -

Students will be able to :

  • read, understand and properly interpret authentic texts ( newspaper articles, extracts from literature )and listening materials
  • discuss and negotiate using the complex of acquired language skills
  • use proper and precise vocabulary
  • write a report based on a survey

4. Art. Verbs of the senses. Colour idioms.

5. Talking about illustration. The verb get.

6. Health and medicine. Gerunds and infinitives. Similes.

7. Travel and tourism. Expressing future plans and arrangements. Homophones.

8. Animal matters. Ellipsis. Auxilliary verbs and to.

9. Preparing food. Nouns: compound and possessive forms. Food adjectives with y.
