The content of the subject is the description of phase equilibriums and chemical thermodynamics, particularly following the separation and chemical processes in the chemical technology.

Describe phase equilibrium in solid-liquid, liquid-vapor and liquid – liquid systems.

Calculate the equilibrium composition of the reaction mixture in homogeneous systems (gaseous phase) and in heterogeneous systems (solid phase-gas)

The subject is focused on the following topics:

1. Solid-liquid phase equilibrium, two-component system

2. Solid-liquid phase equilibrium, three-component system, graphical representation.

3. Solid-liquid phase equilibrium, four-component system, graphical representation

4. Gas-liquid phase equilibrium

5. Liquid-liquid phase equilibrium

6. State behavior of gases, relations for real behavior of the gas mixture.

7. Basic principles of chemical thermodynamics, reaction enthalpy, reaction Gibbs energy

8. Equilibrium composition for homogeneous systems-reactions in the gas phase.

9. Equilibrium composition for heterogeneous systems (gas-solid phase).

10. Simultaneous chemical equlibrium

11. Adiabatic balance for chemical reaction. Limitation by equilibrium.
