Advanced biotechnological processes for the industrial production of pharmaceutical preparations or their precursors. Biochemical and engineering nature of these processes, their regulation, and control. An overview of biotechnologies used to obtain important drugs.

Aim of the course -

Students will know the advanced biotechnological processes used in the industrial production of various types of pharmaceuticals; they will understand the nature of biosynthesis and its control in different types of producers; they be able to compile a theoretical design of a technological process for the production of a compound; they gain a comprehensive overview of the production of pharmaceuticals using biotechnological processes.
