The subject follows and completes the basic undergraduate training in physical chemistry in terms of the utilization of the physical chemistry in advanced industrial applications. Emphasis is being put on thermodynamics and chemical kinetics with particular attention to energy storage and reaction engineering. The subject is intended for Ph.D. students who would like to enhance their knowledge of the field.

Předmět navazující a doplňující základní VŠ výuku fyzikální chemie z hlediska využití fyzikální chemie v pokročilých aplikacích. Důraz je kladen zejména na termodynamiku a chemickou kinetiku s ohledem na skladování energie a reakční inženýrství. Předmět je určen pro doktorandy, kteří si chtějí doplnit a rozšířit základní znalosti v oboru.

The students will learn to:
Use basic thermodynamic quantities and state functions to describe properties of pure compounds and mixtures, describe the state behaviour and phase equilibria in pure compounds and multicomponent mixtures, use thermodynamics to describe and design a thermal process.

Studenti budou umět:
Používat základní termodynamické veličiny a stavové funkce pro popis vlastností čistých látek a směsí, popsat stavové chování a fázové rovnováhy v čistých látkách a vícesložkových směsích, využít termodynamiku pro popis a návrh tepelného procesu.
