Annotation -
The course is devoted to the latest knowledge, which are applied in biotechnological processes for the production of fine chemicals, renewable energy, biologically active substances (pharmaceutical products), as well as in medical biotechnology and biotechnology in environmental protection. Great emphasis is placed on individual work with each student, which allows obtaining wide knowledge in the field of biotechnology directly related to the student's expected professions.

choose the correct experimental approach for obtaining the requisite data for the realization of industrial bioprocess

based on the available experimental data suggest / improve biotechnological process

assess the benefits and risks of existing or planned biotechnological processes

Development of culture media and biological agent industrial production of biologically active compounds (microbial, plant and animal cell parts thereof, enzymes).

Unit operations and control of biotechnological processes.

Design of biotechnological systems.

Economy of biotechnological processes.

Case studies (production of fine chemicals, secondary metabolites, biopharmaceuticals, enzymes, polymers, diagnostic specimens, etc..).
