Annotation -
The subject deals with inorganic materials, which occur in cultural heritage objects the most often. The materials structure, composition and properties are given in context with their deterioration and conservation methods .

Students will be able to:

  • know structure, composition and properties of inorganic materials of monuments
  • understand and know processes of their degradation
  • know suitable methods and materials of conservation.
