Annotation -
The course follows up on the compulsory course Analytical chemistry I. The course is aimed at deepening of students knowledge in the field of instrumental analytical methods focusing on the analysis of microsystems, nanosystems and material surfaces. The principles of techniques are stressed; the data processing and estimation of analytical results is trained.

Aim of the course -

Students will be able to:

Describe and explain the principles of fundamental methods of structural analysis: vibrational, mass and NMR spectrometries, and X-ray diffractometry.

Describe and explain the principles of microscopic techniques: optical, electron and scanning probe.

Describe and explain the fundamental principles of surface analysis, characterization of colloidal dispersions, properties of chemical sensors and lab-on-a-chip instruments.
