The subject Automatic Control deals with the basic principles and methods of one-dimensional feedback control of linear dynamic systems. Students are introduced to the basics of mathematical control theory, modeling controlled systems and control systems, the most important types of feedback controllers, stability of control circuits and simple design methods of feedback control circuits in time domain. All techniques are applied for solution of selected examples. The computational and visualization system Matlab is used for modelling, analysis and design of control systems and for solving of selected problems and individual projects.

Aim of the course -

Students will be able to:

  • solve basic computing and visualization tasks in the field of automatic control system in Matlab environment
  • investigate properties of linear systems and determine their stability
  • design controller parameters by basic design methods
  • verify theoretical conclusions by examining time responses of systems
  • carry out synthesis of SISO control system and improve his behavior by simulation
