Lectures are given to inform about production of lubricating oils and fluids, about properties and utilisation of lubricatns in industry. The industrial aspects of lubrication in different facilities is of particular interest. Basics of gear, turbine, compressor, hydraulic as well as some other types of lubricating oils are given out. Lubricants storage and maintenance as well as principles of condition based maintenance of lubricants have been incorporated into lectures. Lectures are completed with laboratory evaluation of industrial used lubricants to get information about their actual degradation and remaining useful life.
