Aim of the course -

Students will know:

Basic characteristics of membrane and sorption technologies used in water treatment.

Technologies used in production of drinking water by desalination of sea and brackish water - their advantages and disadvantages.

Design suitable technology for selective removal of toxic ions and organic substances from drinking water and industrial wastewaters.

Membrane and ion exchange technologies used for production of demineralized water and their suitable combinations with respect to economy of the process.
