Student v rámci předmětu získá znalosti metod a postupů používaných při statistické a nelineární analýze experimentálních či simulovaných dat (jedno- i vícerozměrných). Součástí výuky je praktická analýza experimentálních dat různého původu a charakteru. Pozornost je věnována i numerickým simulacím stochastických a chaotických systémů.
