In the subject Specialized Laboratory the students will get basic skills in analysis of all types of materials - metals, polymers, glass and ceramics. They will earn the knowledge in chemical and structural analysis of materials, in the analysis of mechanical, corrosion and thermal properties.

Aim of the course -

Students will be able to:

Measure and evaluate basic mechanical, thermal and corrosion properties of materials - strength, yield stress, ductility, hardness, corrosin rate, thermal degradation.

Measure chemical composition of materials by various analytical methods.

Describe the structure of materials and evaluate the presence of defects.
