The course is focused on the systematic mineralogy, with the special interest in rock-forming minerals and silicates (Rock-forming minerals - Deer, Howie Zussmann, 10 volumes). Lectures are tailored to the needs of students PGS concerning their PhD theses. The main emphasis is usually placed on silicates, but often even with a narrower focus on clay minerals, sometimes on minerals with spatial structure (feldspar) or zeolites.
