In order to become eligible for classification the student has to pass a written qualification test. The final exam is oral and concerns the content of the whole lecture course.

Students will be able to:

characterize the surface layer of glass and ceramic materials,

explain the mechanism of corrosion, types of corrosion and degradation processes,

describe the methods used for the investigation of glass and ceramic materials surfaces

provide ways of preserving and restoring glass and ceramic materials.

Studenti budou umět:

charakterizovat povrchové vrstvy skelných a keramických materiálů,

vysvětlit mechanismus vzniku koroze, typy korozních a degradačních procesů,

popsat možnosti studia povrchů různými metodami,
