Annotation -
The subject is focused on the use of Microsoft Office programs. The aim is to teach student to process an extenstive document (e.g restoration report) containing graphical informations, to use the spreadsheet and to make a meaningfull presentation. A large space is devoted to technical processing of photos in Adobe Photoshop environment. In addition, emphasis is focused on working with information databases and on managing bibliographic informations.

1. Introduction - familiarization with programs environment and UCT network.

2. Word 1 - styles, templates, objects.

3. Word 2 - work with graphical informations.

4. Word 3 + EndNote - management of bibliographic references and working with them.

5. Excel 1 - calculations, calculation functions, work with graphs.

6. Excel 2 - charts, database functions.

7. PowerPoint 1 - meaning of the presentation program, program options, use of the programme.

8. PowerPoint 2 - model presentation, poster preparation.

9. Basics of working with graphic files 1.

10. Basics of working with graphic files 2.

11. Informatics - obtaining information, the principle of creating secondary and tertiary sources, the structure of documents, methods of citation, ISO 690, restoration report.

12. Libraries, CASLIN, databases - Web of Science, Scopus.

13. Databases - restoration, suitable websites, patents.

14. Credit test - Word / Excel / Powerpoint / database.
