Annotation -
The course builds on Carbonaceous materials subject and shows processes for the production of basic organic products and intermediates. It is organize by processes, rather than products, allowing accentuating the common production features. All processes follow a uniform structure, beginning with the reactions overview, continuing with the interpretation of kinetic and thermodynamic aspects, catalysts and information on the technical implementation, and the examples of processes - simple basic technology of selected substances.

4. Survey of oxidations. Amoxidation

5. Kinetics and mechanism of oxidation, catalytic systems

6. Technical aspects of oxidation. Examples of typical processes

7. Halogenation, mechanism, kinetics and selectivity of chlorination

8. Technical aspects of chlorination, examples of typical processes

9. Fluorization, bromination. Feasible degradation of organic halogencompounds, environmental issues.

10. Sulfonation and sulfatation, nitration - survey of reactions, technical aspects

11. Amonolysis and hydrolysis - kinetics, mechanism, examples of processes

12. Esterification, survey of acid-catalysed reactions, examples of processes

13. Alkylation - mechanism, kinetics, technology

14. Reactions catalysed by metal complexes. Hydroformylation, methatesis
