Annotation -
The course focuses on thermodynamic principles of energy transformation (thermal cycles, renewables, fuel cells), technical and technological background of power plant operation (conventional thermal and nuclear power plants, combined cycle, heat pump etc.) and basics of water treatment and material issues in power engineering. In seminars, introduction of mass and thermal balance calculation of the steam generator and the calculation of the size of demineralization station is presented.
