The course focuses on understanding the developmental patterns and specific changes in the psyche and human behavior in adolescence. The main aim is to acquire knowledge in different areas of development with a focus on adolescence, understanding of this period in the whole continuum of development and the ability to apply this knowledge in specific situations at school as a teacher.

4. Social development, relationships to adults: characteristic attributes related to adult relationships with parents, relationships with teachers and mentors, the possibility of influencing the relationship of adolescents to adults
5. Social development, relationships with peers: the importance of peers in adolescence, development of friendships, the influence of the internet on friendships, belonging to the peer group as a specific area of identity, youth subcultures and their risks and the impact on the school environment

7. The specific importance of mobile phones for Teens
8. Emotional development in adolescence, typical characteristics, implications for school, specific fears during adolescence, reasons of emotional changes in adolescents
9. Physical changes in adolescence: the specifics of boys and girls, the impact on the psyche of a teenager, the consequences for the school environment and the behavior of the teacher, the importance of physical appearance, dressing as part of identity
10. Cognitive development in adolescence, Piaget´s periodization, stage of formal thought the operation and possibilities for the learning process
11. Perspective on life and professional orientation in adolescents: determinants of professional orientation, the role of a teacher, influence of a family, Arnett´s view of a finding work identity in emerging adulthood, instability in decision-making and the impact of the teacher.
