The subject is focused on the following topics:

1. An overview of the experimental methods for the evaluation of physico-chemical properties of powder materials.

2. New trends in the development of experimental methods.

3. Subjective evaluation of colours.

4. An objective measurement of the colour of coloured layers.

5. Hiding power.

6. Photochemical activity of pigments and methods for its determination.

7. Method of measurement and evaluation of the particle size of the powder materials

8. Specific surface of powder materials

9. Methods of thermal analysis (TG, DTA, DSC).

10. The use of the methods of thermal analysis to the evaluation of the reactivity of powder materials.
