Annotation -
With an emphasis on the applied aspects of the subject area, the course is designed to integrate selected topics of cell and molecular biology. In this context, the presented overview of advanced factography meets the demands of expected future engagement of a post-graduate student in the area of biotechnology in general, and in its biopharmaceutical, food and environmental sectors, in particular. Syllabus: The course (as an advanced) is structured as follows: 1. Module: regulatory mechanisms used by single cell to sense its extracellular environment. 2. Module: the biology of multicellular consortia, including polymicrobial infections and the biology of microbiomes. 3. Module: cellular sensitivity, resistence; host-pathogen interactions. This course is aimed at post-graduate students, who have already passed courses prescribed for the undergraduates in the branch of biotechnology
