The course focuses on the introduction of basic cosmetic raw materials, mainly surfactants, their physical chemical behavior and possibilities of analysis; of different forms of cosmetic products; of manufacture of liquid and emulsion cosmetic products; of legislative requirements in the manufacture of cosmetics and of effects of cosmetic products on the skin.

Students will be able to: Orientate themselves in the composition of cosmetics. Have basic theoretical knowledge of surfactants, emulsifiers, emollients, humectants and other substances which are used in cosmetics industry. Prepare basic forms of cosmetic products.
