Students will be able to:

Search for primary and secondary sources of information using all available databases (Chemical Abstracts, ISI Web of Science, Scopus).

Analyze and evaluate information in a broad context from scientific and professional articles, review articles and patent literature.

Structure information from technical literature and process them into the form of an academic text providing them with precise literary sources.

Studenti budou umět:

Vyhledávat primární a sekundární zdroje informací pomocí všech dostupných databází (Chemical Abstracts, ISI Web of Science, Scopus).

Analyzovat a hodnotit informace v širokém kontextu pocházející z vědeckých a odborných článků, přehledových článků a patentové literatury.

Strukturovat informace z odborné literatury a zpracovávat je ve formě odborného textu s uvedením přesných literárních zdrojů.

The results will be presented in the form of a short professional communication.

Výstupem je přehledový článek odpovídajícího rozsahu a splňující všechny formální požadavky.

Students will find sources on the topic of individual assignments in databases of peer-reviewed literature.

Literaturu k jednotlivým tématům individuální práce hledají studenti s pomocí databází odborné recenzované literatury.

The student’s Semestral work on an assigned topic begins by searching for relevant literature sources using all available databases. Students extract information related to their search topic under the guidance of teachers from these sources. Students establish appropriate structure for the review article and fill it with factualism found in the literature. Students evaluate results of research in detail in their review and formulate conclusions in a sufficiently broad context. Students cite sources correctly and they create the list of references at the end of their work. The outcome of working with literature will be a review article with adequate scale and meeting all formal requirements.

Semestrální práce studentů na zadané téma začne vyhledáním relevantních literárních zdrojů při použití všech dostupných databází. Z těchto zdrojů studenti pod vedením pedagogů extrahují informace související se zadaným tématem. Vypracují vhodnou strukturu pro přehledový článek a naplní jí faktografií nalezenou v literatuře. Výsledky rešerše v přehledovém článku podrobně vyhodnotí a formulují závěry v dostatečně širokém kontextu. U informací použitých v práci uvedou správné citace a ty seřadí na konci přehledové práce v seznamu použité literatury. Výstupem práce s odbornou literaturou bude přehledový článek odpovídajícího rozsahu a splňující všechny formální požadavky.
