Annotation -
The course covers the potential of application of isotopically (using stable as well as radioactive isotope) labeled compounds in chemistry, biology and medicine with special aspects of this discipline (synthesis in ng to mg scale, nomenclature, radiolysis, isotopic effect, hygiene of ionizing radiation)
Last update: TAJ342 (30.09.2013)
Aim of the course -

Students will be able to:

Give the most important applications of labeled compounds in natural sciences research, in drug development, and in practical medicine

Name syntheses of these compounds (with emphasis on both relations and differences from usual synthetic chemistry of organic compounds)

Formulate measures due to radiation hygiene
