This course reviews the role of sensors for solution of analytical problems. After a general introduction, there are discussed in details the principles of sensor technology, possibilities and limitations for application of various sensor in analysis of various samples especially biological origin. Special attention is given to new trends and innovations in the sensor analysis, future prospects for application of sensor for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes are evaluated.
