Annotation
"Analytical Chemistry: Laboratory II" sessions are focused on advanced instrumental methods commonly used in process laboratories. The laboratories follow the "Analytical chemistry: Laboratory I" and extend the knowledge of analytical chemistry applicable in practice. Students will meet with advanced analytical methods, including the in situ analysis, which commonly includes more complicated data processing than in case of Laboratory I.

Aim of the course

Students will learn:

The basic principles of spectroscopic, chromatographic and flow analysis.

The principles of in-situ analysis and fundamentals for creation of experimental outputs in the form of laboratory reports.

Literature

English manuals for individual issues are available on request

Requirements to the exam

Each issue, including the first one, will start with the 5-minutes 5-question entry test to verify student readiness for this issue. Minimum of 3 questions must be correctly answered to be allowed to work. The failure in the entrance test implies the mark "F" and the issue have to be recompensed in alternative date

Every work is classified after delivering of report (before leaving the lab, exceptionally maximum 2 days after) or the not classified if report is not delivered or delivered late.

The overall classification is the arithmetic average off all marks, including extra “F” for unsuccessful tests.
